What an OKM Membership Do For Me
Ong Ko Met Sacramento officers, Board members, and committee members work with local Asian-American organizations and the City of Sacramento to increase participation in preserving and revitalizing our prized Sacramento Chinatown Mall.
We also focus on outreach at various local high schools and colleges, new membership drives, student orientations, and development of local and regional groups who have a passion and interest in Chinese heritage and culture.
In attempting to increase the membership we have one primary objective in mind:
To provide as much Chinese culture, history, comraderie, and fellowship as possible. To accomplish this we plan to have activities for young and old alike, such as Chinese dim sum cooking classes, educational seminars, calligraphy classes, First Aid and Emergency Preparedness classes, and more.
